Sea cucumber is an animal of the family Stichopodidae. The entire body of a Stichopus japonicus or other species of sea cucumber is a marine mollusk that lives in the ocean from the coast down to 8000 meters. Some call it "sea ginseng" because its tonic effects are similar to ginseng, and it has a history of over 600 million years. Sea cucumbers feed on seabed algae and plankton, are covered in fleshy spines, and are widely distributed in oceans worldwide.

 Nutritional Value of Sea Cucumber

1.Sea cucumbers are rich in protein and low in fat and cholesterol.

2.Sea cucumbers are known as "arginine billionaires." They contain 8 essential amino acids that the human body cannot synthesize, with arginine and lysine being the most abundant.

3.Sea cucumbers are rich in trace elements, especially calcium, vanadium, sodium, selenium, and magnesium. The vanadium content in sea cucumbers is the highest among all foods; it participates in iron transport in the blood and enhances hematopoietic capacity.
