灯心草有利尿作用，因此，气虚小便不禁者禁止使用。
灯心草性微寒，因此，寒性体质和经期的女性不适合使用
使用方法: 煲汤煮茶
Dengxincao, or Lampwick Plant, enters the Heart meridian and can reduce heart fire, stop bleeding, promote urination, and relieve swelling and coughing. In clinical practice, it is commonly used to treat heart fire caused by various feverish conditions, and can eliminate irritability and restlessness. It is also used to treat convulsions in children.
In addition to clearing heart fire and promoting urination, Dengxincao is also an ideal sedative and hypnotic. People who frequently suffer from insomnia can use Dengxincao to make tea, which can effectively relieve symptoms of insomnia. It can also be used in soups and dishes.
Dengxincao has a diuretic effect, so it is not suitable for people with deficient Qi and urinary incontinence. Its slightly cold nature makes it unsuitable for people with a cold constitution or women during their menstrual period.
